how we manage it

In our firm we generally prioritise agreement through mediation for the resolution of any conflict, as we understand that the courts should always be the last resort. This general principle is even more relevant in the field of family relationship crisis, where an agreed agreement avoids not only delays but also traumatic situations and the direct or indirect involvement of minor children, which is the primary interest to be protected in proceedings of this type.

That is why we accompany clients in the process, listening to the issues raised by each party, their personal, economic and employment circumstances, etc. and in some way “paving” the way for the agreement. These agreements are really tailormade
for the parties, so that what has been agreed can last as long as possible.

In the case of inheritance, we advise clients on all the steps to be taken after the death of the deceased. We guide the client not only on the legal aspects but also on the tax aspects of the probate in order to optimise the distributions in relation to the interests of the heirs and tax issues. We settle inheritance tax and municipal tax up to the complete registration of the assets in the corresponding land registry(s).

We coordinate the valuations of the assets in the inheritance and assist clients in obtaining all relevant certificates to be included in the acceptance of inheritance deeds, such as bank balance certificates. Once the heirs provide us with a death certificate and an idea of the assets to be registered, we can give them prior comprehensive advice on what needs to be done, the processing times and an approximate cost.
