ABOUT ME

Marga Matas
Your lawyer in Palma

I studied law at the University of the Balearic Islands and was admitted to the Bar in 1992.
During the following four years I had the opportunity to practice as a foreign trainee in various law firms in the City of London, which gave me the opportunity to get to know at first hand a legal system very different from ours, another way of working, another mentality, to perfect the language and to acquire an international network of contacts.
My office has never been comparable in size to those macro offices in the City of London but it has been comparable in quality of service, proximity to the client to whom I have always been able to offer comprehensive advice, trying to simplify the
complicated, seeking effective and quick solutions as far as possible.
We can be said to be “tailoring” the solution to the client and the circumstances of the case.

Solving conflicts through creativity is always a challenge and a source of satisfaction for me.

Our main areas of law are property law, family law, inheritance law, business law and contract law for both Spanish and foreign English speaking clients.
I am an amateur sailor, which has brought me into contact with many professionals in the nautical sector and I do not rule out the possibility of including these services in the office in the future.
